Sensitive Weed

It’s just not possible to have a favourite plant - a favourite plant list however now that’s a thing!!! and on my list is Sensitive Weed. MIMOSA podia - the beautiful prickly herb with very sensitive leaves that fold up at night and when touched.

I really really love this plant and feel so sad when people just brush her off as an annoying noxious weed, Its even been labelled on some websites as Australia’s worst weed, I mean really? - SAD!

As a child I spent quite a lot of time sitting with her, touching her in all kinds of ways to see how she responded. Did you know that they have done several tests and results have shown that she is able to ignore “touches that don’t matter” - like rain drops, and also remembers to ignore drips that she felt a month ago.

She grows everywhere around my property, her root system deep in the Earth - limbs woven with the grass and very top layers of soil, stretching out across the land to pop up and start a new patch where she pleases.

There is a saying that the trees, plants and weeds that grow in your garden, close to your house, and that you are always seeing have important information and wisdom for you.

Mimosa is very chatty and always talks to me when I am in the garden. She once helped me unpack an entire friendship dilemma. Told me that someone I once held close to me was in fact a trauma bond and that I needed to be careful of her, that she was close, too close to my house and I would get wounded if I didn’t dig her up, roots and all and remove her. She told me that I wasn’t protecting myself when I was close to her and that I needed to, that this person was sharp and prickly, that her thorns were breaking off and staying inside me causing me to loose focus on my own life. That I needed to go after the deep roots that had anchored me in the friendship, to see how messy the entanglement was and to remove myself from it. Also to thank the woman for guiding me into these shadow parts of myself that I was ready to face and heal.

She also talks about not deliberately stepping into something you know has the potential to hurt you, and that sometimes we may think we have pulled out all the roots, got to the core of things, only to realise there is a whole other part we didn’t even know was there, and that those roots are really deep and to leave them for now is ok, because its not the right time for them to be removed, they will always be there for us next time and the learning will be deeper and of a different nature. Her language is deep, deep, deeper and a feeling she knows well is being overlooked and discarded, labelled annoying and painful to step on - it is her message to humankind to pay attention, the signs are many and all around yet you are still missing them.

As far as active ingredients go she is known as a tonic for the Nervous system. She is a very powerful remover of toxicity, density and anything that is not aligning with your highest frequency. She offers clarity and acuity of vision - to see beyond the constraints of the regular overlays, a direct connection to source and the inner Earth Nature realms. If you allow her to guide you you she will swiftly take you to places within yourself with vision you never knew you had, - she is both of this world and the mystical plant kingdom beyond the veil where plants are still know and revered for their magic. She is a powerful ally to have by your side when navigating the mysterious realm of plants Spirt Masters, and in the places bordering Witchcraft and old Earth Sorcery.
